Packaging & Delivery

Luna arrived in a long, narrow shipping box weighing roughly 45 kg. Because she needed to be carried upstairs, I chose to do that with two people, which made handling the package much easier and safer.

Luna securely packed inside the shipping box with protective foam and a soft blanket.

After opening the box, I was immediately impressed by how securely everything had been packed. Luna was surrounded by foam-like protective material and wrapped in a soft blanket. Her neck was firmly secured to the box with a bolt and a small wooden support, preventing the body from shifting during transport. Her hands and feet were also carefully protected.

The head was packed separately and secured firmly in place for transport, which gave me confidence that ZELEX had taken the risk of movement and transport damage seriously

A small selection of accessories was included, such as a comb, a nicely presented information booklet about the doll, cleaning supplies and a basic first lingerie set. The lingerie itself was fairly simple, but it was still a useful extra to have included.

One thing that stood out immediately was the complete absence of any noticeable silicone smell. Luna had no strong material or factory odor at all, which made a very positive first impression.

Overall, my first impression of both the packaging and the doll herself was excellent. The skin texture and level of detail immediately caught my attention, but I will cover those aspects in much more detail later in this review.

One small issue did appear after unpacking: Luna’s neck was slightly out of alignment, most likely as a result of transport. I contacted ZELEX and received a very quick response with clear instructions on how to correct it. The solution was straightforward: a large bolt was screwed into the neck connection where the head normally attaches, allowing the neck to be carefully moved from side to side and forward and backward until it could be aligned properly again. After doing this a few times, the neck returned to a straight position without any further problems.

I appreciated how quickly ZELEX responded and how easy the adjustment was to carry out. It turned a potentially worrying first impression into a minor issue that was resolved quickly.

Practical Tip: Removing the Doll from the Box

Because of Luna’s weight, lifting her straight out of the box while it is lying flat can be awkward. I found it much easier to carefully raise the box into an upright position and then lift the doll out vertically. This reduces the amount of bending and pulling required. Make sure the doll is held securely while the box is being moved upright, and ideally do this with two people.

Build Quality & Finish

Luna made a very strong first impression in terms of overall build quality and finish. The silicone surface is finely textured, the body proportions look natural and the detailing is consistently well executed. Up close, the face, hands, feet and body contours all contribute to a convincing overall appearance. There are also a number of smaller details that are worth looking at more closely.

Skin & Surface Details

Luna’s silicone feels smooth and pleasant to the touch, with subtle skin details such as fine lines and small visible veins that help create a more realistic appearance. The tan skin tone suits this particular doll very well. ZELEX now also offers additional options that allow buyers to choose the skin tone themselves, which gives customers more flexibility when selecting a model.

For a doll in this price range, I am positively surprised by the level of detail in the skin. More expensive ZELEX models may offer even finer detailing, but Luna already has a convincing finish with plenty of small features that make the surface look more natural. The silicone is not overly glossy, which I especially appreciate because it photographs very well and avoids the artificial shine that some dolls can have.

Face & Head

ZELEX has a strong reputation for well-designed heads, and Luna’s ZXE201_1 head is a good example of that. The makeup is carefully applied and looks refined rather than overly heavy. The eyes are especially convincing, with small visible veins in the whites that add an extra layer of realism.

The eyebrows are beautifully painted and very cleanly finished. The upper eyelashes are attached, while the lower lashes are individually implanted, which gives the eyes a more natural appearance up close. The ears are also nicely sculpted, and the lips look realistic with well-applied lipstick. Fine pores are visible across the face, which helps the skin look more natural at close range.

One feature I particularly like is the movable jaw. The mouth can be opened and closed, which is useful for photography because it allows for slightly different facial expressions and moods. The mouth itself is also well detailed, with a tongue and visible internal texture. The teeth are soft rather than hard, which makes them safer during oral use while still looking realistic.

The only weaker point is the wig. Visually it suits the head well, but the quality is fairly average and it sheds noticeably. This is one area where I would have preferred a higher-quality option.

Hands, Feet & Nails

The hands are quite well executed overall. Fine skin lines are visible around the knuckles, and both the palms and soles have a subtle surface texture that adds realism without looking exaggerated. The fingers can be posed naturally thanks to the internal finger skeleton rather than simple wire construction, which makes the hands more useful for posing and photography.

The proportions of the fingers and toes are well balanced in relation to the rest of the body, although I personally think the fingers could have been slightly thicker. The hands themselves are fairly narrow, which can make fitting rings more difficult. They also feel relatively delicate, so I handle them with care.

The fingernails are nicely finished and visually convincing, although they are glued on and, when viewed very closely, the fit around the cuticle is not always perfectly seamless.

Luna has standing feet, meaning the internal skeleton is reinforced so the doll can stand on her feet without visible external hardware. She can stand perfectly well without shoes, although for longer periods the weight of the doll can leave a temporary pressure mark in the silicone under the feet. In my experience, well-fitting shoes help distribute that pressure more evenly and reduce this effect.

The toenails are also nicely painted, although, just like the fingernails, close inspection sometimes reveals a small gap or imperfect fit around the cuticle. The toes do not contain an internal skeleton and therefore cannot be individually posed. Personally, I do not consider this a major disadvantage because I normally use shoes when Luna is standing.

Luna has been standing on her doll stand for months without any issues, supported on her feet while wearing shoes. This combination has worked very well in practice and helps keep the pressure on the soles more evenly distributed.

Body Shape & Proportions

Luna has a very attractive and well-balanced body shape. Her proportions feel natural and consistent, and the overall silhouette is one of the strongest aspects of this model.

Her breasts are a small C cup and suit the rest of her body very well. Personally, I would not have minded if they were slightly larger, but as they are now, the proportions look very natural and well judged.

At 171 cm tall, Luna also has long, elegant legs that give the body a more realistic and balanced appearance. Her waist is relatively narrow, which I personally find very attractive, and it creates a nice contrast with her fuller hips and buttocks.

The buttocks are nicely shaped, full and rounded without looking exaggerated. Overall, I have very little to criticize when it comes to Luna’s body proportions. ZELEX has done a very good job with the balance of this model, and visually it is one of the areas where Luna makes a particularly strong impression. 

Even after several months of ownership, Luna’s overall appearance still impresses me just as much as it did when I first received her.

Intimate Details & LHP

Love Hole Placement, often shortened to LHP, gets quite a lot of attention in sex doll communities. I sometimes wonder how closely every owner actually evaluates the exact positioning, but there is a practical reason why it matters: if the vaginal or anal opening is positioned poorly, use can become noticeably less comfortable and less intuitive.

In Luna’s case, both openings are positioned well. The vaginal opening is particularly well executed, with a realistic shape, carefully sculpted labia and convincing color and surface detail. The transition into the surrounding skin is also nicely finished. A very faint seam is visible on close inspection, but personally I do not find it distracting.

The color has held up very well too. Even after several months of use, the vaginal area still looks almost as it did when Luna was new.

The anal opening is also positioned correctly and includes some subtle external texture. The detailing is not quite as refined as the vaginal area, but it still looks natural and is well integrated into the surrounding body shape.

From a practical point of view, the placement also works well in common positions such as missionary and doggy style, which confirms that the LHP is not only visually convincing but also functional.

Material & Real-World Feel

Luna’s silicone skin feels soft and comes surprisingly close to the feel of real human skin. Another big advantage is that the material is essentially odorless, which makes the overall experience much more pleasant.

Compared with TPE, the biggest practical difference for me is cleaning. Silicone is noticeably easier to maintain and gives off far less oil. I would not automatically say that it is much harder to damage, though — silicone still requires careful handling and should not be treated as indestructible.

One of the standout features of this model is the combination of gel breasts and gel buttocks. The breasts feel especially convincing: they are soft, have natural movement and react in a way that feels much more realistic than a simple solid silicone construction. This is one of the features I like most about Luna.

The gel buttocks are also very convincing. They feel soft and spring back naturally when squeezed or slapped, with a level of firmness that I would compare to the body of a fit woman. On some dolls, gel inserts can look obvious or create unnatural transitions, but that is not really the case here. The integration is visually quite good.

The only small drawback is that when Luna is sitting, some slight deformation can become visible around the edge of the gel buttocks. I do not find it particularly distracting, but it is something worth mentioning. Overall, the gel construction is a very worthwhile addition and contributes significantly to the realism of the doll — especially in the breasts, where the effect is particularly convincing.

Real-World Use & Experience

In one sentence: sex with Luna feels excellent. This is where the combination of her softer intimate areas, well-positioned openings and internal texture really comes together.

Vaginal Feel

The area surrounding the vagina is made from a softer material, as is the vaginal canal itself. This makes the transition from the surrounding body into the opening feel much more natural than a uniformly firm silicone construction.

The internal texture is noticeable and stimulating without feeling excessively aggressive. With Luna’s legs positioned slightly closer together, the fit also becomes quite tight. I also notice a slight suction or vacuum-like effect during use, which adds another layer of sensation.

The vaginal depth is more than sufficient for me. At approximately 14 cm erect length, I can use the full depth comfortably without feeling restricted.

Missionary is one of my favorite positions with Luna because the vaginal placement lines up very naturally. Doggy style also works very well and has the additional advantage of giving easy access to the gel buttocks, which adds considerably to the overall experience.

Lubrication

Using enough water-based lubricant is essential. Unlike a real partner, the doll does not produce natural lubrication, and using too little lubricant makes the experience significantly less comfortable and may also increase the risk of damaging the silicone.

I prefer to apply lubricant generously rather than trying to use the minimum amount. It makes the experience smoother and puts less stress on the material.

Anal Use

Anal use with Luna is also very enjoyable. The internal texture feels good and the canal is noticeably tight, in a positive way. From behind, the combination of the positioning, tightness and gel buttocks works particularly well.

This is, however, one area where I think extra care is important. The anal opening appears to be more vulnerable to tearing than the vaginal area. My own Luna is still completely intact, but I deliberately treat this area gently, especially during use and cleaning. I would like to see ZELEX reinforce this area further in future versions.

Oral Use

I do not have personal experience using Luna for oral sex. This is a deliberate choice rather than a limitation of the doll itself. I prefer to keep her face and mouth in the best possible condition, and the mouth is also more difficult to clean thoroughly than the vaginal or anal openings.

Because of that, I have chosen not to use this feature in practice. Buyers who are specifically interested in oral use should therefore keep in mind that this part of my review is based on build quality and appearance rather than firsthand use.

Joints, Positioning & Handling

The joints were fairly stiff when Luna was new. With regular use they have gradually become easier to move, although there is still noticeable resistance. That resistance is necessary because it allows the doll to hold a pose rather than simply collapsing under her own weight.

Despite ZELEX using weight-reduction techniques, Luna is still a heavy full-size doll at around 35 kg. Moving her, turning her over and arranging her into different positions takes some physical effort. A doll stand is therefore extremely useful, particularly for storage, dressing and repositioning.

Take Your Time

My biggest practical advice is not to rush. If I plan to spend time with Luna, I treat it as something that deserves a free evening rather than something to squeeze into a few minutes.

I position her carefully, paying particular attention to the hands, fingers, face and joints. Legs and limbs should be moved with controlled, deliberate movements rather than forced quickly into place. Taking your time does not only make the experience more enjoyable — it also greatly reduces the chance of accidentally damaging the doll.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Luna is relatively easy to clean on the outside. Warm water and a soft cloth or sponge are usually enough for routine cleaning. If the silicone starts to feel slightly tacky, a small amount of talcum powder can help restore a smoother surface.

The internal canals can be rinsed using the small cleaning pump supplied by ZELEX. After rinsing, thorough drying is essential. A drying rod can be used, or alternatively soft kitchen paper can help remove remaining moisture.

Using a condom makes cleanup considerably easier, because there is less residue inside the canal. In that case, careful drying is often the main task afterwards. If semen is left inside the doll, however, the canal should always be cleaned thoroughly. This is important for hygiene and helps prevent unpleasant odors or mold from developing.

Cleaning should always be done gently. Sharp fingernails or rough handling can damage the silicone, especially around more delicate areas such as the anal opening. I take extra care in these areas to avoid small tears or unnecessary stress on the material.

Long-Term Ownership

I have owned Luna for around five months now, and she is still in remarkably good condition. She has been used intimately on several occasions and has also appeared in multiple films, and the overall experience has remained consistently positive.

The gel breasts and gel buttocks are still in very good shape and continue to be one of my favorite features of the doll. They have retained their softness, movement and overall appearance without any noticeable deterioration.

The joints and internal skeleton are also still functioning very well. They have become slightly easier to move compared with when Luna was new, but there is still enough resistance for the doll to hold poses properly. So far, I have not noticed any meaningful loss of stability or poseability.

The only visible signs of use are a few very small dents in the silicone. These are minimal and, in my view, part of normal ownership. A doll like this is ultimately made to be used and enjoyed, and some minor wear over time is to be expected.

The makeup and skin coloring have also held up very well. After five months, the painted details still look neat and there has been no noticeable fading or deterioration.

Overall, Luna has aged extremely well so far. After several months of ownership and repeated use, she still feels very close to a new doll in both appearance and functionality.

Of course, long-term condition also depends heavily on how a doll is handled and maintained. Experience makes a difference: careful positioning, controlled movement of the joints, proper cleaning and sensible storage can all help reduce unnecessary wear. My own Luna has been treated carefully from the beginning, so the condition described here reflects both the build quality of the doll and the way she has been used and maintained.
